Correcting your Focus

I LOVE photography! I am constantly taking photos of random things, trying new techniques, and editing my heart out. With photography, there are a lot of things you need to know before taking the perfect photo. You need to find a good location, your camera needs to be on the correct setting, and most of all you need good lighting. (There is a lot more that I don’t know about too.)

With the photography that I have done, I have realized something. If your camera (or phone in my case) is not focused on the subject that you want, you photo is not going to turn out to your perfection. Your subject may become blurry or your photo could be simply chaotic.

This is how it is in life to. If our focus is not on Christ, our lives can seem like a blur or a simply chaotic mess.

“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”

1 Corinthians 10:31

According to 1 Corinthians, everything that we do in life needs to done for the glory of God. In order for this to happen, we can’t be focused on what we would like to do, but more on what God wants us to do.

“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”

Matthew 6:24

We can’t serve both God and ourselves. So, in order to get our focus correct, we must lay down ourselves and put God first. He knows what is best for us. He knows what our future holds.

So, this week, let’s put God first. Let’s readjust our focus and put Jesus as the subject of our masterpiece. In this time of chaos in the world, I encourage you to stay focused on Christ. He knows the plans He has for us. He knows how this all is going to turn out. We just need to put our faith in Him and trust that it will all work out.

See ya next time beautiful people!
