You know what I think is so amazing? God created the entire earth, landscapes, seascapes, each and every one of the 7 billion people that live on earth, and yet, each thing is different. There are no two identical rocks, trees, flowers, and there certainly are no two of the same people! God is just that powerful!
Today I want to show you that God took time creating you. He specifically planned each second of your life. He purposefully gave you each characteristic you have. God created you to be exclusive!
It’s so easy to look in the mirror and pick out every one of your flaws. It’s so easy to be sitting in a room and think about each way everyone is better than you.
I want you to think about something for a second: You spend hours and hours painting a perfect picture (or drawing, writing, or perfecting a dunk) and you decide that it’s time to show off your work! So, you show a few people your work and they begin to pick out every mistake in it, “That color’s not right.” “You misspelled that.” “You may have made it, but your jump was not too great.” The list could go on and on.
As you hear all this negative feedback you begin to feel almost offended. You spent so much time and effort creating this perfect work and the others only see the bad parts of it.
That’s kind of how God is with us. He put so much thought into every inch of you. He placed each freckle where it is for a reason. He gave you every characteristic you have for a specific purpose.
When we look in the mirror and see the opposite of these things, we are basically telling God that he did not do good enough. He did not make you look as good as you thought you should look.
God created you exclusively. There is not one person who is like you. There is always going to be someone who’s (fill in the blank) than you. Yet, God did not create you to be like them. God created you to be you. Exclusively you.
When God calls us to do something, it’s so easy to say, “Ah, someone else can do it.” “They are better at this than I am.” “Why can’t they just do it?”
I’ve been there. I’ve been called to do multiple things that I don’t feel qualified to do. I feel that someone else could do it and do such a better job.
Yet, what I have realized recently is that, if God wanted someone else to fufill that calling, he would have called them and not you.
Unlike us, God does not put His time into something that won’t fufill His plan.
You see, God creates a calling specifically for you. He created you to do something that no one else can do but you. You are the only one who can fulfill that specific calling from the Lord.
I just think that that’s so cool! God is so good!
So as you go throughout this week, I want you to remeber that you were made exclusively. Every moment in your life was carefully and strategically planned out by the Creator of the Universe. God would not have called you, or created you, if He did not believe 100% that you could glorify Him in the way that he wants.
I hope today’s post encouraged you but also opened your eyes to see yourself the way that God sees you!
See ya next time beautiful people!
