Loved | Being the R.E.A.L. You

When we look at our past mistakes, it’s so hard to see ourselves as loveable. When we go through struggles, its so hard to feel loved. Yet, even though we go through these things, God still loves us.

He doesn’t just love the you that sits, all put together, in the back row of the sanctuary. He does not just love the you that’s always smiling and bringing others joy. He does not just love you when you sit down and read the Bible and spend time in deep prayer.

“I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.”

Luke 5:32

He loves all of you. The happy and the sad you. The you that fills their pillow with tears at night. The you who barely has the courage to get up in the morning. The one who is broken and hurting so deeply inside. He loves the you who struggles to read the Bible. The you who gets angry at the little things. The you who goes weeks and even months without thanking Him.

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 8:38-39

You see, the Lord loves you, just as you are. As hard as it can be to believe, your mistakes don’t define you. They don’t make God love you any less.

There is a quote the other day that I read that really hit me.

“If you even knew how much God loves you, you would break down and cry.”

Honestly, this is so true. If you knew how much the Lord loves you, you would not be able to stay standing.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16

I want you to go listen to the words of this song. (click the word song)

Here is the verses of the song:

Come all you weary, come all you thirsty

Come to the well that never runs dry

Come all you sinners, Come find His mercy

Come to the table, He will satisfy

Taste of His goodness, Find what you’re looking for

Bring all your failures, Bring your addictions

Come lay them down at the foot of the cross

Jesus is waiting there, with open arms

“God So Loved” We the Kingdom

God sees you. He knows your deepest hurt and deepest struggle. Yet, he still loves you.

I hope that today you realize just how loved you are by your creator. I hope you realize that God does not just love the put together you, he loves the broken you too.

See ya next time, beautiful people!
